Tasted at the winery. 100% Sangiovese, aged 2 years in French oak. Purplish red in color with a bit of tawny on the periphery in glass. Medium fruit on the palate, not much on the nose. High acid, high tannins. Tastes in between the Salcheto VNdM Riserva and their Obvius. Needs more time -- should peak around 2017 and drink well for 5-10 years after that. While not that great now, I'm not sure how good it will be at its peak. €35 at the winery.

Wonderful. Needed 2 hours of decanting to open up completely but well worth the wait.

drank from a magnum bottle. at its peak for the moment, still quite vivid with added plus of early tertiary aromas

Would not go well with foods that have strong tastes. Nicely balanced ; oaky but not to much. Good conversational wine.
