Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Pale around the edges, very dark ruby core, fairly clear. A bit of barnyard on the nose at first, which blew off to more pleasant pinot fragrances. On the palate, fairly ripe dark fruits, although the fruit is beginning to fade, full but not particular complex, and a bit of a harsh finish. Overall, pretty good for a 13 year old village wine. I think it will hang in for a while longer, but may not improve.

  • Very nice, well balanced with a lovely fruit core. Lots of fruit still, nicely integrated with a good backbone of tannin and acidity. Good "burg" nose, nice complexity. A very enjoyable wine. Not thinking this needs more cellar time, but I don't think the wine is falling off a cliff any time soon.
