  Much improved, far more expressive than two years ago, with an impressive high-toned red fruit layer, vibrant acid, and that thin 07 profile while retaining plenty of aromatic material. The 07 lightness helped it pair well with simple, baked salmon; it's more an 07 red burg than an earthy Gevrey, this might be lost alongside pork or anything meatier and heavier. So glad I waited, this was quite enjoyable. In spite of what I sensed as a slightly warm, cough syrupy heat going down, and what Daly sensed as a slight bitterness on the finish. Still strong with 5 hrs air time, a nice sappy red burg with that rusted, tart cherry Pinot fruit. This would still probably be best in another year to my palate. The freshness really helps to offset the heat going down, though.
