This is another delicious little white that makes you wonder "how did this get to me for only $8???" This is not a one trick pony either offering up a nice range of zesty citrus & orchard fruit cloaked in a fine minerality. Green gold and very floral. Take a trip to the SW of France with this one! Magical in its own humble way. You could drink something else much less interesting than this for the same money. Paid $8 and drinks like $20+ because most people have no idea what this is and the name is hard to pronounce. Like CDP, this comes in a cool embossed Coteaux du Languedoc appellation btl and, with a convenient screw cap. Sunny and breezy like the coastal terrain it comes from. Perfect with walleye sliders and no way to get 2 nights out of this, just too tasty!

Kinghams restaurant Shere. Minimal note taking. Well made crisp and dry white. Asparagus and melon with a pleasing mineral spine. Simple but good value (bonus point applied) that accompanied a range of starters well.

We ordered this to accompany lobster at a brasserie terrace overlooking the fishing port at Trouville. At first when the wine was very cool, I found it medium/light bodied, crisp, mineral and refreshing with some juicy citrus fruit and a saline finish. Typically, during terrace dining in warm weather like today's, the wine in the glass warmed quite rapidly and it became distinctly less appealing with a loss of crispness and focus and a coarsening of the finish. Keep this one cool; if so, quite good.
