Decanted 2 hours. Drank over 2 more. Opened with cherry, cassis and French Oak. A bit hard and austere with noticeable tannins. I think that this will continue to improve over the next couple of years. A good value at $20.

Nose: raspberry jam, cinnamon, cloves. A bit tart, well structured, tasted better the second day. Medium finish and the alcohol level integrates well without overpowering its red fruit flavors. Would love to see how this pairs with meatball marinara or fajita tacos

Another half bottle. Paired surprisingly well with my pipe, in which I smoked good quality pipe tobacco called 1776 Virginia, with some Virginia tobacco in it. Not all wines pair well with a pipe. So I was pleasantly surprised. From the half bottle, drink within next six months.

good amount of green on the nose and quite lean on the palate. raspberries, blackberries. Flavors & acid are in balance, but the finish is pretty short. Showing the vintage, but overall a pleasant wine.

Decanted 2-1/2 hours. Lean for a CDV Merlot. Flavors on the green side. Well made and good balance overall but I prefer this from a riper vintage.
