13% alcohol. The good long cork shows no wine penetration; it is inscribed Pernand Vergelesses rather than Volnay, which is disconcerting, but I guess that it is just where the domain is based. Very light colour. The nose is certainly Volnay rather than Pernand, evoking a hypothetical cross between redcurrant and raspberry. The mouth is just as good, light but far from insubstantial, with a very good balance and a reasonably long finish. This was not unduly expensive (for Burgundy), as far as I remember, and if so it might (just) qualify as a repeat purchase.

Another very good showing for this wine; nose with darker fruit, savory hints of game, forest floor, floral notes. Nice balance and very good depth for the level on the palate.

This is a lovely example of Volnay. Beautiful high toned red fruit on the nose with currant, cherry, and raspberry. There is also bright floral notes and a nice minerality although this is currently mostly fruit forward. The palate shows very good concentration and depth for a village level Volnay and has nice balance. Quite tasty now (especially if you prefer wines with more fruit) but certainly still on the upswing in terms of complexity.

Flower shop, autumn leaves, palate is silky, clove, cumin, turned earth. Cherry notes are there but more background to the earthy Clay.
