This seemed to be showing a bit of age, full-bodied and a bit uneven. Oddly it got better after a few days in the refrigerator. Dry, somewhat meaty, but worth looking at again.

Vibrant, acidity-laced Riesling with fragrant fruit and nice balance. Precise, primarily dry, with opulent flavors and just the faintest hint of RS, but abundant structure and acidity. Perfect with a fascinating dish of cauliflower chilaquiles at Eden Hill (mix of fragrant, hot and sweet flavors).

Color: light greenish-yellow. Nose: very nice and refined. Taste: what impressed first was the quite dominant but also quite refined acidity. Lemon, apple and maybe peach, a bit of petrol and a nice stony minerality. (Interesting: not as sweet and rich like the wines of the Schlossberg at the other side of the valley in Kientzheim I have tasted so far of Paul Blanck). Really attractive wine that matched the pike with sauce beurre blanc very well. (88-)89.
