Served blind for “national Zinfandel day” So I assumed zin, but this really more seemed like 15 year old, old-world pinot from a ripe year. Lovely light tannins, great acidity and the heat really wasn’t too apparent Surprised at the reveal and assumed ridge if it was Zinfandel. Totally tame and in a great spot right now.

I feel badly for all of the people who apparently opened this too soon. It's singing right now. Right from the pop of the cork it has beautiful chocolate cherry notes and bright acidity and none of the bland and harsh tannins that others are mentioning. Our last bottle, not sure it would get much better. This one has everything where it's supposed to be in my opinion.
Still has staying power left, but it is one of the best right now, so why wait?

Closed up on day 2 and became very tannic. I would pop and drink this and not decant or wait until day 2.

Wow. Great zin - still going strong.
Big fruit, big spice, big alcohol at 15.9%. But it handles it well.
