Nice savory simple pinot noir with good depth, soy, medium dark cherry, and typically lovely RRV feel. Medium weight. Good value in the pinot noir world. B/B-

Vibrant ruby color. Juicy raspberries and tart cherries on the nose, laced with lots of herbs and spices (rhubarb, white pepper, sage) and a sweet floral accent. Bright and crunchy on the palate, but bold as mouth-coating as well, with a nice mix of tangy cherries and rich black cherries and plums. Lots of white pepper, rhubarb, spicy oregano, backed up by some light roast coffee, roses and loamy soil. A Pinot Noir that covers all the bases, and does it well. Aged in French oak, 25% new.

- Garnet color with fast forming legs and aromas of strawberry and raspberry. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry and black pepper with a medium body. Round texture with a medium finish.

Good basic RRV pinot. A good solid every day wine. About right for the price ($30). A bit on the rich side.

Foppiano Vineyards tasting (Foppiano Vineyards, Healdsburg, CA): Bright, light, soft. Long dark finish, bit of soy. Tight acidic finish. Good balance. Very good.
