  Fascinating!
  
  Decanted for 20 min. Served at probably 17C.
  
  Nose was bursting with ripe bright berries out of the bottle with a sweetness and hints . Very dark red/purple in color. Alcohol.
  
  Initial taste: Woody. Leather.
  Mid-palate: Cocoa & chocolate with some astringency and salt.
  
  After 30-40 min it starts to sweeten. The sweet nose at first didn’t match the sharper cacao notes, but then the brightness came!
  
  Paired with eggplant ravioli, red sauce, and hot Italian sausage. It was a delicious meal!
