To my taste the Rising Vineyard is the fullest and most fruit fruit forward of the single vineyard and reserve Chardonnays from Coldstream, but maintains balance and complexity.
The wine is a light yellow in colour with a nose of ripe peach, nectarine, some oak induced spice and vanillin richness.
It is medium to full bodied with sweeter stone fruits on entry that gain depth and structure through spicy oak inputs and citrus tinged acidity.
The wine finishes with wood spice and flint to complement the aforementioned stone fruits, there is ample acidity that keeps the wine focused. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2014-2020)
