Unlike the last reviewer, our bottle has aged very well. Rich and sturdy as befits the vintage, it has classic Washington syrah flavors--old world funk, new world sweet finish.

Drank over two days. Was probably a decent bold new style Syrah in its first few years of life. But this has not aged well. First off there is not much fruit left, but the oak is very prevalent and overpowering like most typical Washington syrahs. This has seen better days in its past.
On the second day it was quite worse, being almost acidic.
it seems that only the very highest quality Syrahs from Washington can stand bottle time and this is not one of them.
Update of another same bottle drunk on 9-14-22: similar comments to the above, but the second bottle was not as astringent or acidic as the first and was just merely flat.

(Va Piano Vineyards Syrah Walla Walla Valley) A moderately aromatic wine with black olive, earth, and crushed rock. The palate is perfumed with soft savory notes and tart fruit flavors.
