Heavy crust. Almost treacly nose, with leather and roses as an undercurrent. The sweetness was also there on the palate, much more so than most Baroli. Still very enjoyable wine, which would win many converts to Barolo.

3 years on from last time, and the dial hasn't shifted a great deal, save for a touch of relaxation in the tannins.
Bearing all the hallmarks of both it’s area and it’s vintage. Darker berries, hand cream, earthiness, ‘body’. 2010 to the fore with that depth and 'bass-y' feel
Comfortably another decades worth of evolution in the pipeline. 2010 is going to be a long-lived vintage.

13 years old. Pours clear, mid ruby colour. Classic Barolo nose of tar, roses and leather. Medium bodied, possibly more palate weight than other baroli. Dry tannins, savoury palate of Turkish delight and prunes, with undertones of grilled beef. Sounds weird, tastes great!

Partly decanted one hour prior to serving. A touch lighter colored than peers. Some flowers, maybe rose petals and a bit of spice on the nose. Medium bodied, light on its feet with definite structure and a twang of acid. Identified as Barolo by many blind tasters, some even nailing its origins in Serralunga. Described by several as "pretty". In a good drinking window but with potential to improve over 5+ years. 90-91
