4th Saturday Group (Sue's): Double blind. Deep opaque inky color. Brown sugar and black fruit notes. More of the same on the palate. Firm tannin. Good for the style, but not my cup of tea.

The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered dark fruit, blackberry, kirsch, dark fruit liqueur, chocolate, spices and a hint of mint (After Eight?) on the nose and palate, with good acidity, fine, medium-plus tannin, a good, full, creamy mouthfeel and superb length. Very high alcohol (stated with 15.5% ABV, but I would not be surprised if the actual ABV is closer to 16%), but not alcoholic by any means. This full-bodied wine is in an infant stage. 90+ for now, with potential to improve with time.

Excellent wine. Rich and opaque in the glass. Big full nose of tar, leather, cinnamon, black ripe fruit, must only be 15 % cabernet, as the rich shiraz shines through. Finishes long with good acid and fine grippy tannin. Will drink well into the next decade.........As i am from South Australia and really brought up on big fruity in your face wines, i feel that the winery's are under pressure to back off the ripeness to accommodate consumers in other countries which are not a custom to this style. I hope producer's like glaetzer continue to be true to the barossa and show the wine in its true form.

Dark colour with full nose! A bit of a berryfest though. Dark fruit and tender wood in the nose. Palate holds up, very warm and full. Has the potential however, too expensive, seven hill at same price has more structure and more serious wine (less ozzy). Might need to store longer.
