  Magnum - decanted for one hour. Really opened up after 2 hours. Beautiful nose with nice dark fruit. Smooth with good balance of fruit and light spice.

  It’s been about 5 years sine I last had this bottle. Based on some recent Realm bottles I’ve had I figured this would be ready to go. While certainly drinkable I suspect it has another 5-10 years before it peaks. Massively extracted and dark but the fruit is still pure enough to provide freshness. Molten chocolate, blueberry, cherry syrup, anise, espresso and savory herbs (sage). Alcohol poked through at first but blew off after an hour. Drink or hold (likely a hold as it’s pretty clumsy now).

  2012 Realm Dr. Crane. Eloquent, expressive blue and blackberry with bitter chocolate, coffee, pipe tobacco, a little cedar and the ideal body. Killer wine after 4 hours of air.
