  • Nice balance for an austere style wine. Quite enjoyable to drink and good QPR

  • Quite nice, if only moderately expressive nose of blue berries, wood spices, licorice, and forest floor bordering on the herbal/vegetal, and almost green. Certainly not an overripe wine, but one that is built on a solid spine of acidity and concentration, coating the palate and clearing the mouth for the next bit of food that you must have with this wine (not necessarily very sophisticated, even sausages may do). A little astringent, and not to everyone's taste perhaps. Drink it or keep it for a few years, but I bet it won't improve very much.
