I’m a big fan of Tim Blue at AB, but i have to admit that this wine left me anting. Perhaps it is past its prime or in a transition state, but it was just OK. A little flat, not much fruit but gentle tannins.

The wine evolved a fair bit from opening to the tail end of a 6 hour decant. At first it was big and oaky, though the flavors had a vivid richness to them that was attractive. Black raspberry, black cherry. The aggressive nature gave way several hours later to a wine with lovely mouth feel, expressive nose but, regrettably, flavors that had faded. I think I missed its sweet spot! Still a nice wine - just not as good as I have come to expect from Adams Bench.
