  • This is in a great place right now. Went awesome with duck the first two nights. Then it was forgotten in the cellar for a week and consumed the rest with salmon. Still going strong. Wish I had more.

  • This is a very nice pinot noir, and the QPR is terrific! As others have noted, it needed some air. We poured a bit of wine off (down to shoulder of the bottle) and let it sit for a couple of hours. We just discovered Vincent and will be purchasing more.

  • Agree with earlier notes; tight, it rewards the patient aerators among us. Still very young. That said, Vincent's 2013's really give the lie to the whole 12/13 dichotomy: his 13's are gorgeously successful, and in our first vertical vs. vertical tasting managed to beat the 12's hands down. (The second one was more of a toss-up.)

Less concentrated in color than the 12's, this is a thin, transparent raspberry-pink. Herbal, tart, cranberry, strawberry. Evolves over hours and rewards attention. Will go the decade easy.

(Incidentally, partner in vinous crime vastly preferred the 2012, as I'd expected: riper, fuller, fruitier.)

  • This wine is not nearly ready. I should have read my tasting note from last year before opening this bottle. That being said, after an hour or so and some air in the decanter this wine turned into something pretty nice. Red and black fruits along with some tannin. Good aromatics but not initially. Give this another few years.

  • The nose was bright and vibrant, showing fresh strawberry and minerals with sweet spice. It was finessed and quite refreshing on the palate with ripe berry tones and a wave of acidity that made the mouth water. Pretty inner florals lingered long on the finish with ripe fruit tones slowly receding from the senses.
