  Medium weight, medium acidity. Good structure and balance. Tannins are a bit dusty and drying. The fruit on this is fading but showing cassis, black-cherry, and a pluminess. Bit of bitterness to the fruit. Getting an element of greenness .... herbal tones and tomatoes. This bit takes over in the mid palate to finish. A bit disappointed overall given its price point. Like a bordeaux from a cool year.

  The 2011 Haiku turned out to be a bit of a letdown: starting with a somewhat unclean nose (weird mix of stable funk and dried tomatoes, which never really blew off) and continuing with a rather unbalanced impression on the palate; dark and ripe fruit mingling with overly green/unripe notes. I’m far from being a winemaker but I suspect the Cabernet Franc messed this cuvée up quite a bit. Not convincing.

  This is disappointing. Completely unclean nose, this is devoid of generosity and fruit. Good, streamlined structure. 87
