This is a wine that I always ignore when it's in my cellar, breezing past it to other wines that catch my eye, so I usually don't drink these until they have aged a bit and this is exactly what happened here. This wine always surprises me, at $12 a bottle, this is a very difficult wine to beat. Sure there are better wines, but most of those start at around $25 and up to get an appreciably better bottle. Good fruit and balance, just lacks the ooomph that bigger CA cabs have. I'm going to buy a case and bury them for about 7 years.

Drank solo over the course of a Sunday afternoon/ Actually a decent Cab for around $10. Redcurrants, cherries, a little cranberry and a good bit of oak. Medium tannins and some spice on the finish. Would be a good acoompaniment to food but while pleasant, not terribly interesting on it's own. Might recommend, but probably won;t get again anytime soon. That said, it's the best thing I've had by Bogle so far and a decent qpr.

Crystal clear deep ruby red color in the glass, this moderate cabarnet sauvignon has aromas of cherries, a little plum, and a hint of green pepper. Smooth with mild/moderate tannins and a little acidity. On the finish are some vaguely earthy flavors. Finish is relatively long: 10 seconds or so.
Tasting notes from the vintner suggest black cherries, eucalyptus, leather, and spicy oak. On reflection, I can detect all of these (particularly the eucalyptus) except for the oak, which lies behind other flavors. Overall, this wine is ok. Not fantastic. It falls down for lack of sufficient acidity or tannins.
