  • Dark Amber in hue, this takes a few mouthfuls to give up it's jewels and what jewels they are.
Hazelnut comes and goes, orange peel too, whilst a reticent caramel remains always, subtle yet enduring.
A plethora of tastes, no not tastes, a plethora of feelings.
A log fire in winter. Burnt wood. Fresh spring tides. Summer and sand. Maybe autumn and leaves and the last vestiges of warmth before the weather turns. All kinds going on!
This is not an unyielding wine. It has so much to it but it keeps giving way and letting all of its various splendours have their moments. It let's you pick your focus in any given mouthful. It offers everything up and allows you to choose the direction you head off in.
There is freshness and salinity allied to a nutty, complex depth. This is an unbelievably good wine and an absolute pleasure to sit and slowly sip.

  • Deep amber in the glass. Nose is full-on explosive, with that rancio note coming in strong, but complemented by lightly toasted nuts, seaweed, some hints of caramel. Palate is rounded, full. Lots of intensity coming from all angles - a bit of fruit, bit of salinity. Expressive of its style and so well done.

  • Fira Dismavi 2023 #2 (Sherry); 3/1/2023-3/14/2023: The wine looks light brown colored. The legs are medium. It smells like mineral, stoniness, toast, almond, hazelnut, walnut, soy sauce, sherry and leesy. The body is light/medium. The wine has linear texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity. Outstanding wine, very complex.

  • Perfect. Depending on the bottle, it can be just the tiniest bit thin. But otherwise, from yuzu and dried fruits, through chocolate and nuts, through various salts and beautiful acidity, onto an endless finish, it's perfect
