Fully integrated Tannins, ready to drink but no great rush. Pleasant fruity herbal bouquet with a medium long finish. A fruit forward wine that will pair well with most foods or is enjoyable on its own. Good enough for discerning company. Don't waste it on unappreciative guests whip some 2 buck Chuck on them.

Zinfandel (83%) was co-fermented with skins of Viognier grapes, then blended with Cabernet Sauvignon (17%). This results in a pleasantly confusing nose, more floral than you'd expect from a Zin-blend. Medium+ body. Aromas of rose and green grass intermixed with dark berries. On the palate, fruit-forward blackberry and stewed strawberry, with a tannic backbone that is firm but not overbearing and pretty nicely integrated. Secondary notes of spice, cedar and underbrush. Medium+ finish with a pleasantly sweet final note. Drinking well now, not sure how this will age but no reason to wait; drink 2015-2018.

Heat fades a bit after one hour decant. Becomes pleasantly balanced.

Chris liked, candy didn't. Too sweet for her...a thinner apothic red.
