We were thinking 89 and then saw the CT community score at exactly 89... This is a great wine. Lovely with depth and a changing flavor profile- vastly improved with air, an hour or more open and it really delivers. A smooth, fruity, mouth pleasing shiraz.
It's not lost on us that the most recent note was from two years ago. We are here to say if you've got one of the 41 bottles "In Cellars" in the CT community, this screw top vin is holding up nicely for you.
Think we paid $8 when we found this gem at Kroger... We have paid $40 for bottles we've liked less.
Enjoy.

Lovely nose with blackberry, chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus. Relatively restrained on the palate for a Barossa Shiraz, with the above flavours all in evidence, along with vanilla and spice notes. Good mouth feel and length. Impressive wine given its modest price.

On both the nose and palate, it's primarily blackberry, plum and black pepper, maybe a touch of cherry. There's noticeable tannin, although not uncomfortably so. It is quite a bit tarter than when I tried it six months ago and has lost its interesting savoury notes. It has an impressively long finish with a big dose of caramel and licorice. Only half way through this bottle on day two, so maybe I'll revise this later.
