Drinking over 3 days. The additional year of bottle age is revealing since I last tasted. Upon opening the wine had the austere leaness of TB. Day 3 was the eye opener..warm sweet black cherry fruit transitions to the medium high acid pitch and rustic tannins that well done Red Mtn wines present. But it was the fact that fruit, on day 3, became overwhelmingly delightful w great acid reveals that this wine is indeed a sleeper. So well balanced now. Has a good 10 year window left
Consistent with previous note. Austere and judiciously oaked, showing ample Red Mountain terroir, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, and a stalwart finish.

Olddominion poured this at a tasting he hosted. Vibrant, fresh, and lively, with definitive Red Mountain characteristics. Judicious oak treatment, medium plus acid, light to medium tannin. Substantive and lingering finish.

Wine took on a different character this time around. Still had grip but the acid was much more pronounced this time around. Not as deap on the fruit/acid/tannin balance. But the finish on this wine is just compelling and lasting. It reminded me of a very well made Chianti Classico or Rufina Reserva

Day 1. Massive wine.Tasted after 2 hours of opening. Grippy but you could foresee what was around the corner. Had the personality of a left bank bordeaux. Literally hit me in the chops but the fruit ,acid/tannin equation made me think. lending me to save a couple of glasses for day 2.
Day 2. One of the best wines I have encountered in a couple of years..literally. Refined strength and elegance. Another example as to why a well made Red Mtn Cab can match a 1st Growth Bordeaux. Btw. My pallet is totally old world. Well rounded beautiful fruit with precision integration to the encore of grippy but refined mouth coating tannins that dance like Astaire. Red Mountain rocks!
