  Mostly Mazis Dinner (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Rich and dense with wonderful balance and a long, elegant finish. I would have liked slightly more concentration, but very good overall. Served alongside Boillot 2013 Mouchère, the group was split on which they preferred, with my vote going to this Meursault.

  terrific. immediately hit with a perfume of wet stones, lemon and then as it opened it had some of that very faint MJ nose that I love. mouthful was sweet lemon, and gained a hint of creme brulee as it warmed. plenty of acidity and minerality. a really beautiful wine. i would guess this is at its peak; not clear how long it will stay in this window, but i would prob recommend drinking this now and over the next year to be safe as everything is in harmony today.

  Burgundy Dinner with Friends (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Alongside the 2014. Big, fat, and unctuous with lots of fleshy apple and peach. Tonight's bottle still showed the botrytis as more pronounced vs my previous bottle last year. I liked this more than others tonight, but think cellar time will be this wine's friend.
