  Underwhelming. Thinking it's past it's prime? If there are tannins left, I'm struggling to find them. Typical Barolo signatures are largely absent. Almost a ghost of the flavors I would imagine to taste, but they're so weak, I can't really identify them. Considering how relatively young this wine is, I would not have expected anything close to this. 100% meh. Not terrible, but not great. I'm glad this bottle was a gift.

  A real treat, this 2010 seems to be their current release and has a wonderful combination of youthful fruit with some bottle maturity. This is a medium plus bodied wine with a relatively clear color going brownish to clear on the rim. The grape vines, terroir, wine making and cellaring all show class and pedigree. The aromas and flavors are soft and approachable. Of course some maraschino cherry fruit. The elegant, silky tannins are very much involved in the flavor profile. Young Italian style acid definitely makes this a food wine at this time. Expressive yet mellow. Even though the fruit shows some maturity, don't think this one is drinking to it's potential yet.
