First bottle from B Cellars - quite impressive. Drank over about 3 hours after opening. Very consistent over this time, with gradual improvement over time. Black fruit and a light touch of cedar. Very smooth. Some very fine sedimentation.

Second WOTN to me, but it took some time to get there. This is the oldest Erhlich I have ever had. Slight browning/bricking noticeable on the pour into the decanter and the nose is quite muted. 30 minutes in and the fruit also slightly muted. It's dark fruit, there's still plenty of it there but it certainly can't match the energy or electricity of a more recent vintage. About an hour in and the quality of the wine in the mouth picks up, the actual winemaking seems to improve, if that's at all possible. It develops a different 'feel'. The fruit morphs from 100% black to 90% black and 10% red. 2+ hours in, and it's evolving at a glacial pace into that classic Ehrlich sensation in the mouth. The last few sips in the glass at almost 4 hours of airtime were by far the best and where my 94 score comes from. Prior to that this was in the 90-91 point range. I wish there were more of these around but it was the very last one I could find. If you are lucky enough to have one left, give it 3-4 hours of air minimum and you will be rewarded.
PNP to reveal a blackish / purple to the glass. Almost textbook Napa Cabernet nose of bramble, cassis, blackberry, and hints of powdered cocoa. Rich and inviting on the palate with generous and pristine fruit, some salinity, and a silky mouthfeel. Great aftertaste for 20-30 seconds. Although not breaking any new ground here, this is a stellar rendition of Oakville Cabernet at this price point. Smooth and well integrated tannin. Doubtful this is a long term ager as it is showing well now, and should hold its peak for another 1-3 years.
