Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. Served to accompany parma ham wrapped chicken. Very popular in the room, for many the favourite of the evening. Deep cherry red. Classic Otago pinot nose. Beautiful aromas of red and dark fruit notes of violets, spice and cedar oak. It was elegant and well balanced with concentrated dark plum on the palate with hints of spice and leather – a medium bodied Pinot Noir with silky tannins, good persistence and length

Opened 90 minutes before drinking. Light garnet colour. The nose is reminiscent of strawberry plants rather than the fruit itself. The palate is smooth, strawberry and leathery. It's quite light, medium length. I'm undecided whether these will keep much longer and/or whether they will improve further. I had originally expected to drink my 6 bottles over 5 years, but now I'm not so sure.

Thought this would be past it’s prime, but it was probably the most enjoyable of the 4 bottles I’ve had over the past few years

New Zealand London Annual Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls): The nose is quite spicy, red and black fruit, oak, a bit decadent, the palate is not in the same level though, red fruit, drying oak, lighter body than expected, med finish
