Opened For 2 but not decanted First glass is dark blood ruby with just a bit of bricking at the edges. Beautiful nose of Christmas baking spices, deep red fruits, cinnamon, roses, tar and fresh smell. Nice mouthful of fruit compote, bitter oranges, honey, tar and chocolate. This wine has gotten better from bottle to bottle which is just what good Nebbiolo does. Today 91+. Can’t wait to see how their 2014 single vineyard offerings fair.

Slow oxed another bottle. Not decanted. Originally in the glass It was fairly translucent and as it sits it significantly darkens. The nose is subtitle and filled with roses, lilacs, faint tar, and cut hay. In the mouth it has a lot of dark red fruits, sweet cinnamon, a bitter component but not in a bad way. Nice framing acidity and tannins that add to the finish. Best bottle yet.

Second bottle of 6. Slow oxed for 5 hours then into a glass. Nice dark color with smells of roses mushrooms and a bit of earth. In the mouth roses tart cherries mixed with tar are predominant. Tannins and acids in nice balance but it’s young. Has a nice snap at the finish. Very drinkable but will be much better in 3-5 years as it gains complexity. I will buy more if I see it. 91+

PnP, with notes of black cherry, baking spice and a touch of leather on the nose. Open on the palate, as the flavors emulate a fresh baked cherry pie. Medium acidity keeps it moving along.

Medium body. Dry. Tannins dissipate after few hours and opens up. Light pepper spice. Tart cherry finish. Good wine. Excited to see how it opens up in few years.
