color strong red, viscosity showing higher alcohol content. nose was little oxidated (without decanted) perhaps over its peak. clearly bordeaux blend, missing the power and finess of a 100% merlot. still taninnes but missing merlot fruit. medium bodied. recommend to finish up what is left en enjoy now.

Too dry, too dusty ... even with decanting the tannins never resolved themselves. Not one of Antinori's best efforts; I think the hot season dried this one out too much; lost whatever fruit it had in under an hour.

Deep red colour. Plum and oak notes to start, some chocolate. Flavours are full and body has structure. Moderately clean finish but flavours do linger. Has been open for one hour and still needs more time to breathe. A very nice bottle.

Full body, deep garnet to purple color. Intense dark fruits, toasty oak and peppery notes aroma. Sweet cherry forward and dried plum palate following by long spicy finish. Very rich and complex but not over powered and balanced, lovely acidity and completely integrated velvety tannins. Food friendly, nice paired to cheese ravioli with truffle oil. Don’t chill it too much, serve 17ºC - 21ºC. Open one hour ahead, drink now.
