High alcohol, high acid but syrupy, fresh bouquet, ripe white fruit, certain creaminess but very focused. With time building mouth-watering volume with superb energy. Delicious. 94+

Thursday Day Off (Rainbow Restaurant, Sok Kwu Wan, First St,, Lamma Island, Hong Kong): Light silver-yellow gold colour. Nose is perfumed light honeysuckle and acacia blossom and white stone fruit. Palate is good fresh medium acidity followed by quite tannic but harmonious structure, slight sweetness but nothing cloying....which is my usual gripe with Napa Sauvignon Blancs. Really resonant and mountingly reverberant long finish. Needs food - it really came alive with the simple Cantonese steamed lobster and stir-fried razor clams. Too bad that we only had tiny restaurant glasses but a real treat - thanks, Sergio!
