70% Petit Verdot, 30% Cesanese. Deep ruby. Aromas of blackberry, black currant, dark cherries, licorice, smoke. Fruit bomb. Rich wine with taste of ripe dark fruits, balancing acidity, fine tannins.

At the winery with Letizia: Almost opaque purple; Deep dark black-purple fruits, dark blackberry, black volcanic aspect, floral with distinct violets, minerals, rocks, smoke; excellent concentration, rich, full bodied, medium+ grippy tannins, long in the mouth, some distinct oak aging on this but well integrated and works well with the 70% Petite Verdot, 30% Cesanese, 100% oak for 6-8 months, some new some old. Really quite good stuff, maybe even 92 or more with more time, but not at the price they're asking.

VinItaly Day 2 (Verona, Italy): 70% Petite Verdot, 30% Cesanese d'Affile; 1,000m; darker color, high extraction, bright rim; sexy nose, floral, mix of red and dark berry, luxurious; silky tannin for grape, deep, vegetal, Bordeaux-esque, the 15.5% is not noticeable, polished and luxurious; wow.
