  • Excellent wine. Full body, inky purple color. Elegant, black fruits, steppe flowers, tobacco and oak aroma. Dewberry, blueberry and dried plum palate, lingering earthy and spicy finish. Complex, rich and muscular, bold texture, well balanced, structured firm tannins and berries natural acidity. Food friendly, best match is medium roasted meat or stuffed peppers. Open at least six hours in advance. Serve 18º - 22º. Still very young, start drink next year, should last in good conditions next decade.

  • Color: deep purple, opaque, uniform sheeting of glass with late developing tears.
    Nose: cherry cola
Taste: mild acidity, tannin light with tingle on the tongue, long finish, taste different but not unpleasant, a little hot (alc 13.5%). Flavor more "earthy than fruit". Should go well with roasted or braised meats. Might not be everyone's favorite wine but it is a very good wine.

  • Tasted at the winery along with several of their other wines and ports. Inky red-purple in color, thin not viscous on the palate, but long legs in the glass (I know, sounds a bit strange...). Quite acidic but has the fruit to stand up to that. Reminds me of a Malbec.
