This was the oldest bedrock I’ve had. I Got a lot of the same impression as the previous note. Blue fruited, hints of cocoa, slowly, emerging, herbal nuts, also, some hints of some sort of citrus. Like the herbal/savory notes, the tins started to pop up as it got more air. Lively, acidity, medium bodied. This was a lovely wine that held up great on day two. Even more of the savory notes came out. This is drinking great right now, but you can keep it around for a little bit longer, it’s not dead by any means.

Nose of ripe blueberries/blackberries, yeasty pie crust, baking spices, black pepper, dark cocoa, and a bit of violets. Medium bodied, high acidity, fresh, and brooding. Palate of tart and dense blueberries, blackberries, plums, cranberries, mixed herbal and sweet spices, and a touch of cocoa. Light tannins at first, but with time they become heavy, chewy, and fully transform the spice profile from sweet over to herbal.
Long acid driven finish with a bit of dustiness to it. Starts off with the blue and black fruit with a lot of acidity, black pepper, herbal spices and lavender. As the finish lingers, I get spiced lemon peel with a bit of Meyer lemon before a persisting dark cocoa buildup.
The focused acidity beckons you to take yet another sip. Before you know it, the bottle is gone. Might be the best of the '13 Bedrocks I have consumed so far.
