Enjoying this mature Pinot over two nights. It's integrated tannins-wise but has a core of dark fruits (SC Pinot at 12 yrs defying expectations) without weight but yeah, a little hot - but it's so easy to forgive. It's not the 2010, nothing is (was? Does anyone have any of that left?) But it's a little more fun than the 2011. I thought this vintage was mid when I first got it a few years ago, but I'm sorry it's good now.

Big floral nose with herbs and a touch of eucalyptus. Nicely integrated acids and tannin with a juicy cherry fruit, vanilla and baking spice finish. Drinking this early was a mistake I think this is peak. Never as mighty as the 2010, all the surrounding years are getting better and reminding me of it's greatness. But this is by far the best bottle of this 2012 I've had

Still a 95 point gem that is drinking fantastically well right now. Showing more leather, teak and rock, with gorgeous fruit, mustard seed and so much length; the body has gained more depth and percolation. Medium-bodied, with distinction. Saline. See the previous note. Updated drinking window: Drink now - 2026.

Beauty. Perfect with our cedar plank salmon. But plenty fine on it's own as well. Seems to have several years left, at least, but it's in a good spot right now ...
