still fresh, almost chabliesque in crisp minerality. A wonderful surprise.I had no idea these wines from Soave could age so marvelously. But Anselmi is a master.

Bright yellow-gold colour with a lemon sherbetty nose allied to some butter and even a hint of cheese.
On the palate initially bright acidity, but which dies away a little on the finish. Likewise the initial impression is of ripe pineapple, becoming honeyed with a subtle touch of vanilla as it moves towards the finish. Not noticeably sweet, but I'm sure a little RS is playing off against the acidity.

Cork was dark and split. It took three people and at least three devices (screw pull, Ah So, etc.) to extract the cork. The wine had a deep yellow color with citrus notes. Seems that the dry cork (came out in pieces and was hollow!) allowed some air in this bottle and it was a tad oxidized. Bright acidity and a lemony feel fall short when the wine goes to a cloying finish.

Opened with some trepidation in view of its age, but drinking beautifully. Good colour, fresh and with a lemony palate as previously described.

This wine is still drinking very well. Mature, oaky, but well balanced. Slighly lemony fruit
