This wine went very well with cheese plate before dinner and with a marinated and BBQ'd chicken breast for dinner. If you've never had Arneis, its a white grape native to the Piedmont area. Plenty of pear and apricot and just enough acidity for the cheese. A more viscous mouthfeel than Sauvignon Blanc but not as heavy as a Chardonnay.

Wanted to really like this wine. Did not impress. This was our introduction to the varietal and reminded me of a ho-hum chardonnay. Done well but a short finish with some citrus throughout.

Pale lemon in color with pronounced aromas of stone fruits, lemon-lime soda and stone. On the palate, crisp and dry with big acid and a weighty body. Peach, leaf, grass, honey, stone and licorice. Short finish. Serious food wine that paired well with (and sliced through the richness of) roasted chicken with butter and parsley smashed potatoes.

An interesting varietal... sorta like a riesling without the residual sugar.
