  Silky smooth with red cherry preserves. Layers of flavor, great mouthfeel and a long luxurious finish

  After a one hour decant the nose shows must, faint tobacco leaf, aged cask; would certainly take us for a Bordeaux. Comes across the palate brighter and more lively than one would expect from the bouquet and is driven by dark but watery blackberry and plum. Soft tannins appear upfront and are very well integrated, but don't continue as far into the finish as I'd like. That being said its very approachable, smooth and solid. I have three bottles remaining and will tag for consumption by 2026.
  
  There was slight alcohol on the finished from standard stems, the notes above are from Somm stems.

  Powerful wine that is just coming into it's prime drinking window. Got better as the evening went on with dark fruits and cocoa notes with a long finish. Went incredibly well with a NY Strip Steak Dinner and sipping the rest of the evening.
