  Macedonian wines are not readily available somtried this one. Eric Solomon imports are usually a good bet and this was no exception. Deep dark purple, dark fruit and nice complex flavors including eucalyptus. Several reviews remark on its sweetness, but no more than a CA Zin is sweet. Label recommends it with stag, deer or boar. Not much of those at our local grocer but was great with a chicken/sweet potatoe/apple casserole. Very nice wine.

  Dark as midnight purple with violet edges. Mulberries and sweet pipe tobacco with light espresso and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Really robust wine with tons of tannins and more than expected sweetness. Notes of Smoky sweet blueberries, tobacco, the fruity smokiness intensifies with burnt embers in the finish. There is also a mild iodine note as the wine opens. This is an excellent food wine that I would recommend with cassoulet, or light meats (wild game especially). Really unique and intriguing (both factors in my high score), with an excellent velvety mouthfeel.

  Macédoine ici aussi et fort originale aussi.
  Ample et un brin boisé mais fort gouteux.
  Chocolat et cerise avec un peu de terre avec des tannins serrés et une finale longue..un peu assèchant mais la carafe et le temps vont lui aider.
  Très bon!

  Tasted blind at Bacchus. The colour is inky, almost black. It smells sweet with blackcurrant fruit and confected mint aromas. The palate is silky with a high gloss of sweet blackcurrant, menthol and rosemary. A really well made even though its sweet, glossy style isn't what I typically like and I enjoyed it very much.
