  • Slo-oxed and swirled in the glass for about 20 minutes. The best thing that I can say is that our bottle was better than rakasome's - which is not saying much. Our wine had the very faintest hint of some red fruit, some earth, and a 13.5% abv heat. IMHO those 125+ CTers who still have this wine in their inventory should unscrew the cap on this wine ASAP.
The 2012 vintage of this wine that we had back in June, 2019 - at about 6 2/3 years after vintage - was not bad. This bottle - at about 7 1/3 years after a slightly lesser vintage - was basically undrinkable (though not flawed).

  • Can we talk? This tasted like crap. Finish was like sucking on the rusty chrome bumper of my old '54 Ford. Started out HOT, alcoholic. Ended in a dismal failure. Glad it was a gift from a person that had no taste. Probably a re-gift.

  • Moins pire que je croyais . Se boit très bien . Un peu vert du départ avec une petite touche d’alcool
,de vanille, poivrons verts et de cassis . Pas le plus profond mais pas d’excès de 2x4 .

  • We liked it more than the community, gave it 88. A pleasant medium weight Cab with varietal flavor and not much tannin. Easy drinking with meat, nothing to dislike (or remember). Smith has a big rep, this low end offering will not help or hurt it.

  • The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raisin and blackberry. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), raisin and cherry. The body is medium. The wine has angular texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
