This wine is still fantastic. Any rough edges and youthful flabbyness are gone. There’s plenty of fruit black berries raspberries current. The tannins are subdued softer and less gripping. The finish is smooth and silky and long Should be Well past it’s textbook prime but it’s not at all. Cellared in a Eurocave I’m being to think it was worth the investment. What a pleasure.

In great shape, as expected. Not as complex as some other bottles of this winery and similar age have been. Fruit is doing well. Some baking spices appear on the palate and finish. Not as tertiary as I'd hoped or expected at this stage.

This wine is nowhere near done. Rich cab nose and color, dark red fruit, cedar, no bricking whatsoever. Rich entry of dark red/black fruit, great tannins, cedar and all integrating nicely. This is drinking surprisingly well right now and seems to have a while longer yet to go given the backbone and finish although both are beginning to soften just a bit.

We drank this after it had about two hours in the decanter, with duck breast and beet puree. It has a nice nose, is nicely balanced and is entirely pleasant, but never really opened up and wowed us. Drink now for what it is, or gamble and wait another five years.

A bit past prime. Started off as a delightful aged Cab but started to fall flat toward the end of the bottle.
