Lemon colour. Minimal bead. Quite floral nose, lightly sherbertty, perhaps greengage. Very racy on the tongue. Cleansing acidity at first, then broadens and mellows towards the finish. Poised and intense, perhaps a little too much so for an aperitif at this point. Serve with e.g. oysters, or cellar for a couple more years at least. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; Marks & Spencer, £13]
