Sourced from a single vineyard in McLaren Vale, the 2010 shows varietal characters of dark cherry, earth and blackberry on the nose with grainy vanillin oak.
The palate is earthen with bitter dark chocolate and dark cherry fruits at it's core. The wine is very much walking a tightrope between a savoury herbaceous varietal expression and richer oak induced characters. The finish is savoury and long with ample tannin and acid to underwrite time in the cellar. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2014-2022)
