Dried and reconstituted dark red fruit... had a bit of an oloroso sherry nose... quite nutty... threw a remarkable sediment for a Burgundy. It was disappointing on opening, but glorious after an hour.

Tastes a little tired. As with many 2004's, on the fast track toward the grave. Mean greenies present but not overwhelming. A very nice mature burgundy with a fine pinot nose, refined oak on the palate, a little less fruit than you'd like, and a reasonable finish. Drink up!1

Extremely ripe and opulent nose. Just off rustic with lots of earth notes that keep the fruit nicely in balance. there's an almost viscous, mouth coating quality to this wine that adds to an overall sense of richness.

Decanted for 2 hours, unbelievably smooth and fruity. Had with filet mignon and not entirely sure this wine stands up to a big meal like this, but imagine it would be brilliant with a chocolate dessert.
