Excellent CNP from dad’s cellar. Visit in france to buy more. Famille / Jerome Quiot. Provence. Actually Jerome died and it’s all split uo now, so less sure. Probably will never see this one again

My last bottle, oops. Maybe its just as well, as this seemed quite rustic with a fair amount of anise and some earthy funk. I hope it's just in that middle-aged zone and will bounce back.

Pop and pour, drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. The nose is muted. The palate is expressive with crushed berries, garrigue and earth. There's a touch of alcohol on the finish. Qualitatively this does meet my chateauneuf du pape standard, it does not drink like a simple Southern Rhone. There is some precision on the palate and it seems to be a traditional style.

Upon 1st opening, there was a fair amount of brett that blew off in about 20 minutes. What's left is a very dry and traditional CDP. This was not jammy or alcoholic, and it wasn't terribly exciting either. Nonetheless, good dry earth and such, so a great weekday wine.

Really like this CDP. I think there's a touch of brett(the good complexifying kind) , it's loaded with garrigue, spice(not from oak here) , pepper , tea, fig, and animal(dead, and dried) notes on top of the usual cooked red fruit and licorice candy. Loads going on A good example, impressive for this price point.
