  Really enjoyed this. After a 1 hour decant it opened up nicely with flavors of dark berry, dark cherry and earth. Before decanting the tannins were to heavy.

  Third and final bottle of this vintage. Drank over two days. First day with sirloin steak and worked beautifully! Medium bodied, some red berries on the nose, but very little fruit on the tongue; instead notes of leather, tar and truffle came through - worked a treat with the steak! Medium finish - low acid. Next day was less interesting, but overall pleased with the wine.

  PnP and drank over two days. Very little sediment. Nice, dark, almost translucent color. On the nose, initial barnyard, leather, a bit of strawberry and eucalyptus. Medium bodied, with the fantastic, light mouthfeel of an aged wine. Smooth tannins and great balance, low acidity at this point. Delicate rather than powerful in the beginning, but after about two hours, more fruit and tobacco comes to the fore. Very light and almost refreshing in the beginning with a medium to long aftertaste. Not super complex but very enjoyable. For me, this is the perfect time to drink this wine. It may be slightly past it’s peak so I’m not going to wait any longer with the rest of my bottles.
