A disappointment. Slightly tired. This is an elegant pinot, presents with fresh sharp raspberry. High acidity, moderate tannin with some hints of farmyard and hay. Medium finish, some complexity. Drink up.

Sushi & Pizza on the Penthouse Deck (David's Place, Mpls): Medium red color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes plus. Cherry, sous bois, medium bodied and a smidge sharp to start. This was considerably better with even 20 moinutes of air though. This took on much more depth with layers of red berries, and a more perfumed and earthy nose and palate. As you'd expect there was an aura of class and depth you'd expect. And, as with many of the '13's, I don't think these are quite where you want them to be just yet. Another 2 or so years will serve them well in my opinion. Give it some air if opening now. 91+ to 92pts.

Pop and pour. Tasted with food (grilled pork chops, amd spinach and roasted potatoes, in case you were wondering). Ruby red color. Nose offers bright red fruits, a smoky note, wet earth and wet stones. Wonderful freh berries, layers of flavor, and a nice tart, lemon peel note. Silky tannins. Delicious.

At the peak. Still showing nice crunchy red fruits and forest floor notes but don’t think this has much upside.

Last bottle. I’d recommend sitting on these a few more years as there’s some cherry tartness that hasn’t fully resolved. That aside, a nice wine.
