Sadly this may be a bit advanced which lends the usual oxidized accent to the otherwise tart green apple and light caramel profile which lingers strongly through a chalky finish.

Premier Cru Burgundy from 2012 and 2013 (SF Wine Trading Company): Medium yellow. Sulfur on the nose. Toasty oak base, but underneath, it is fairly light for Meursault-lean and lemony with fine acidity. Certainly needs time, but will it fill out and lose the sulfur which is shortening things right now?

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Magnum. Showcasing the sweet/tart character of the best 2013s, with complex and layer flavors and textures. Very good now.

A steely intensity. Definitely a more intellectual than hedonistic wine. I liked it.
