  • Fresh and inviting, with early signs of maturity on the fringe, this is no doubt built for the long-er run, and with one bottle left, I'll probably consume it in the next 4-5 years, as I prefer my age-worthy whites to still present a level of freshness on the palate. Medium-bodied, white/orchard fruited, with gravel, saline and light honeyed notes on the nose and palate. A lovely wine, with beautiful lines, and, for my palate, excellent balance, and a solid sense of place. 13,0% abv., drink now thru 2028. recommended

  • Day later from memory. Now a rich burnished gold. Lofty aromas of ripe yellow fruits, honey, and crushed limestone. Since it was served with friends and family at a BYO, I didn't get to drink as much as I normally would for a more detailed note. My impression was the vintage's vaunted acidity had been fully assimilated, and now was propping it up rather than constricting it. That may not sound complimentary, but I mean it to be. Round and luscious, really a great bottle. Five years more? Done.
