Significant spice and stems along with red fruit on the nose. Very tart and a little short on the palate. Love the energy but not as expansive as I wanted.

Best Vosne village wines: Wow everyone guessed 1990s or 2000s for this. Very advanced with lots of sous-bois such that I guessed this was an old-school producer that was not completely clean. Good, but the rate of maturation is worrying. Still not completely convinced about his wines.

During a VSR 1er Cru dinner. Short decant. Halleluja, this wine blew us away. Captivating nose of sandal wood, red fruit, cured meat, Indian spices, everything you wished for in a complex Burgundy. Did better than the Grivot Richebourg next to it tonight. It is one more data point that in Burgundy may be wine maker trumps terroir after all... Left the table speechless. Alas the market price seems to reflect this. 96+

So pretty! Fruit is so delicate. Juicy, with bright acidity.

Bottle 710/2988. LB kind of aromatics with perfume, red fruit and spice. Lean but meaningfully delicious. Drink now.
